In this role, you will be at the forefront of fulfilling customer orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from the moment items are picked to when they are ready for shipment. Your responsibilities will include accurately locating and retrieving products from warehouse shelves based on order specifications, inspecting items for quality, and carefully packing them for safe transit. This position is vital to our logistics operations, demanding a high level of attention to detail, speed, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. You will work with a diverse range of products, requiring careful handling and proper packaging techniques. Maintaining a clean, organized workstation and contributing to the overall tidiness of the warehouse are also essential duties. We foster a collaborative team environment where teamwork and communication are highly valued. Safety is paramount; all employees are expected to strictly adhere to safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure a hazard-free workplace. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations according to customer orders.
- Verify picked items against order lists to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect products for any defects or damages before packing.
- Pack items securely and appropriately using designated materials.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient picking and packing station.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock management as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety rules and procedures.
- Properly use and maintain all required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a picking, packing, or warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Physical capability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive approach to work and ability to meet productivity targets.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
