Join our bustling Distribution Center in Seattle, Washington, as a Distribution Center Associate! You will play a vital role in the daily operations of our facility, ensuring that products are processed, stored, and shipped accurately and efficiently. This position is the backbone of our logistics network, requiring a keen eye for detail, physical stamina, and a strong dedication to workplace safety. Your responsibilities will include receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and stocking merchandise in designated areas. You will also be responsible for picking customer orders, packing them securely for transit, and preparing them for outgoing shipment. Operating various warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and order pickers, will be a regular part of your duties. We expect all associates to maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to the overall efficiency of the warehouse. Your ability to work collaboratively with team members, follow standard operating procedures, and adapt to changing priorities is essential. This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting and moving of goods, so a good level of fitness is required. We are committed to maintaining a secure and hazard-free environment through rigorous safety training and the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Understanding our supply chain and logistics flow will be beneficial.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving and unloading incoming inventory.
- Verifying incoming shipments against documentation.
- Stocking products in designated warehouse locations.
- Accurately picking and fulfilling customer orders.
- Packing orders efficiently and ensuring product protection during transit.
- Labeling and preparing shipments for dispatch.
- Operating warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Participating in inventory management activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse setting is a plus.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and the use of PPE.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity goals.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
