Our Boise, Idaho facility is looking for a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our operations. The Shipping Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately documented, processed, and dispatched on time. This position involves coordinating with various departments, carriers, and customers to facilitate the smooth flow of goods. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and customs forms.
- Verify that all outgoing shipments match orders, ensuring accuracy in items and quantities.
- Schedule pickups with various shipping carriers and coordinate delivery times.
- Track shipments and provide status updates to relevant parties.
- Communicate with warehouse staff, sales teams, and customer service regarding shipment details.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and filing systems.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
- Assist in resolving shipping discrepancies and customer inquiries.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and use required PPE at all times.
- Support the logistics team in various administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar administrative role within a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in shipping software and common office applications.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work efficiently in a busy warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with Lifting requirements for packages.
- Understanding of shipping procedures and carrier requirements.
- Commitment to workplace safety .
