We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to manage our outbound logistics operations in St. Louis, Missouri. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with carrier regulations. Your duties will include preparing shipping labels, generating shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and verifying shipment contents. A strong understanding of logistics processes and a commitment to accuracy are essential. Safety is a top priority in our warehouse, and all employees are required to use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to established safety protocols. This role may involve moderate lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documentation for all outgoing orders.
- Verify accuracy of orders being shipped against documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pick-ups and deliveries.
- Apply correct shipping labels and postage.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Track shipments and resolve any shipping discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Assist with inventory management and other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Practice safe lifting techniques when handling packages.
