As a Distribution Center Associate, you will perform a variety of tasks including receiving and inspecting inbound shipments, stocking merchandise, picking and packing orders, and preparing shipments for delivery. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to safety are crucial for success. This position involves physical activity, including lifting and moving goods, and requires strict adherence to all company safety protocols and the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify inbound shipments.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Stock merchandise accurately in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack customer orders with precision.
- Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling and staging.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts if certified).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Conduct inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use required PPE.
- Support overall logistics and supply chain functions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to safety standards and proper use of PPE.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work for extended periods.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
