We are seeking a diligent and proactive Inventory Clerk to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, supporting our overall logistics operations. As an Inventory Clerk, you will be responsible for tasks such as conducting cycle counts, verifying shipments, managing stock adjustments, and ensuring all inventory data is accurately recorded and updated in our system. Your attention to detail will be critical in preventing discrepancies and optimizing stock levels. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure a smooth flow of goods and accurate record-keeping. Safety is a key priority, and you will be expected to follow all safety guidelines and utilize the provided PPE. Responsibilities:
- Perform cycle counts and regular inventory audits.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against records.
- Investigate and report on inventory discrepancies.
- Update inventory records accurately and timely in the WMS.
- Assist in the organization and layout of warehouse stock.
- Process stock adjustments and transfers.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory items.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety policies and wear necessary PPE.
- Support logistics team with accurate inventory data.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in inventory management software is a plus.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of basic logistics and inventory control principles.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
