Seeking a dependable Material Handler to support our bustling warehouse operations in Fort Worth, Texas. This role is fundamental to the smooth flow of goods through our logistics network. You will be responsible for receiving, stocking, picking, and preparing materials for shipment. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace Safety. You'll work with a team to ensure that products are moved, stored, and dispatched efficiently and accurately. Experience with pallet jacks and other material handling equipment is a definite advantage. Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming materials, verify quantities against shipping documents, and inspect for damage.
- Use hand trucks, pallet jacks, or other equipment to move materials within the warehouse.
- Stock received goods in designated storage areas, ensuring proper organization.
- Pick items for outgoing orders accurately based on pick lists or system instructions.
- Pack and prepare items for shipment, ensuring they are secure and correctly labeled.
- Operate within established Safety guidelines, including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, including workstations and common areas.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Support the logistics team in achieving daily operational goals.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment issues immediately to supervision.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment like pallet jacks and dollies.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and logistics.
- A proactive approach to Safety and adherence to all company policies.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good organizational skills.
