We are hiring a Distribution Center Associate in Huntsville, Alabama! This role involves a wide range of tasks critical to the efficient operation of our distribution center. You will be involved in receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping products, playing a key role in our overall logistics network. A strong focus on safety and accuracy is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming inventory for damages and discrepancies.
- Accurately stock merchandise onto shelves or designated storage areas using appropriate equipment.
- Pick orders based on customer requirements and prepare them for packing and shipping.
- Pack items securely and ensure correct labeling for outbound logistics.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and potentially forklifts (if certified).
- Participate in regular inventory counts and help maintain inventory accuracy.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, contributing to workplace Safety.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
- Understand the importance of each step in the logistics process.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and frequent Lifting, typically up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and the importance of Safety.
- Must be comfortable using RF scanners and basic computer systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic are required.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Willingness to wear required PPE at all times.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in various temperature conditions.
