We are seeking motivated Warehouse Workers to join our distribution center in Washington, D.C. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our logistics network, involving the handling of goods from receipt to dispatch. You will be involved in various warehouse activities, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. We are committed to providing a safe working environment and expect all team members to actively participate in maintaining high Safety standards. This includes the consistent use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming stock and materials.
- Pick and fill orders from stock efficiently and accurately.
- Pack and prepare orders for shipment according to guidelines.
- Sort and place materials or orders on racks, shelves, or in designated areas.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct stock takes.
- Load and unload trailers using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure correct use of PPE throughout the shift.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed to support the logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle physical demands, including frequent Lifting of up to 45 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety practices.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and performing tasks that require standing and movement for extended periods.
