Are you detail-oriented and organized? Join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina, as an Inventory Control Specialist! This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for managing stock levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing solutions to ensure optimal inventory accuracy. This position requires analytical skills, a thorough understanding of inventory management systems, and a dedication to maintaining efficient logistics operations. Safety is a top priority, and you will be expected to uphold all safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between system data and physical stock.
- Implement and monitor inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy.
- Track and manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) as applicable.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Manage returns, damages, and defective products, ensuring proper disposition.
- Work with the warehouse team to ensure accurate receiving and shipping transactions.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely when needed for inventory tasks.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to inventory.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or logistics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to perform some physical tasks, including occasional Lifting.
- Knowledge of Safety best practices in a warehouse environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
