Become a vital part of our distribution center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as an Order Picker. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This position requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to navigate the warehouse space effectively, and a strong understanding of order fulfillment processes. Your contribution is essential to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive the correct products in a timely manner. We prioritize a safe working environment and expect all team members to follow strict safety guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret pick lists or use RF scanners to locate items.
- Accurately pick specified quantities of products from designated locations.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to a supervisor immediately.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers safely.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
- Adhere to all Safety protocols, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory checks and cycle counting as needed.
- Meet or exceed individual picking productivity goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform demanding physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order selection.
- Proficiency in using RF scanning equipment.
- Good spatial awareness and ability to navigate large warehouse environments.
- Commitment to Safety best practices in logistics.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for long durations.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
