Join our team in Orlando, Florida, as a Material Handler and become a vital part of our warehouse operations. This role is critical for ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout our facility, supporting our overall Logistics network. You will be responsible for receiving, moving, and storing a variety of materials and products, utilizing forklifts and other material handling equipment. A strong focus on Safety is paramount in this position, as you will be operating machinery in a busy environment. We expect all team members to strictly adhere to safety guidelines and wear the necessary PPE at all times. This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to perform significant Lifting and operate equipment for extended periods. You'll be involved in tasks such as unloading trucks, stocking inventory, and preparing materials for production or shipment. Excellent organizational skills are needed to maintain an orderly and efficient warehouse. We foster a team-oriented atmosphere where collaboration and mutual support are encouraged. You'll work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure operational efficiency and meet productivity targets. Accurate tracking and documentation of material movements are also key components of this role. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Stock inventory accurately in assigned locations.
- Prepare materials for shipment or production.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform regular equipment checks and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification or demonstrated experience operating forklifts.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 75 lbs) and operate equipment for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
- Willingness to wear and maintain required PPE .
