Join our dynamic logistics team in Kansas City, Missouri, as an Order Picker! We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to accurately select and prepare customer orders for shipment. This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, ensuring timely and correct order fulfillment. You will work within our extensive facility, utilizing equipment and following precise instructions to gather items from shelves and prepare them for the next stage of the logistics process. A commitment to accuracy and efficiency is paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order details and pick lists.
- Utilize RF scanning devices or other technology to track picked items.
- Inspect products for quality and accuracy before moving to packing.
- Stage picked orders in designated areas for consolidation and shipping.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
- Operate pallet jacks and other manual equipment as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Be prepared for regular Lifting of items, up to 50 lbs, throughout your shift.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet daily picking targets and ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms, pick tickets, and labels.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Capability of performing manual Lifting of items.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic logistics principles.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A strong focus on safety and adherence to guidelines.
