We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our warehouse team in Boise, Idaho. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurate, properly documented, and prepared for timely dispatch. Your work directly impacts customer satisfaction and the efficiency of our logistics chain. You'll work closely with our inventory and receiving teams to ensure a smooth flow of goods. A strong understanding of shipping procedures, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are essential. Adherence to all company safety policies, including the correct use of PPE, is mandatory.Responsibilities:
- Preparing shipping labels and documentation for outgoing packages.
- Verifying the accuracy of items being shipped against orders.
- Packaging items securely for shipment, ensuring they are protected during transit.
- Coordinating with carriers for package pickup and delivery schedules.
- Updating shipping information in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Maintaining an organized and clean shipping area.
- Reporting any shipping discrepancies or issues to management.
- Assisting with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Following all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Performing inventory cycle counts as required.
- Practicing safe lifting techniques when handling packages.
- Contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and WMS is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of shipping best practices and safety regulations.
- Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and wearing required PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
