We are hiring an Order Picker for our facility in Baltimore, Maryland! This critical role involves accurately locating and retrieving items from our warehouse inventory to fulfill customer orders. Success in this position requires a keen eye for detail, speed, accuracy, and a strong dedication to workplace safety. You will be instrumental in ensuring timely and correct order fulfillment, contributing significantly to our logistics success.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick designated products from warehouse shelves based on order pick tickets.
- Verify product details and quantities against order requirements.
- Utilize RF scanning devices to manage inventory and track order progress.
- Prepare picked items for staging and subsequent packing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Strictly follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock placement.
- Execute lifting and manual handling tasks safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal logistics operations.
- Report any discrepancies or issues identified during the picking process.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an Order Picker role or warehouse environment is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and item identifiers accurately.
- Proficiency with RF scanners and related warehouse technology.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to achieving high accuracy rates.
- Ability to work at a rapid pace while maintaining quality.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and perform lifting tasks (up to 40 lbs) as required.
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the essential role of PPE.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with general logistics and inventory management practices.
