Exciting opportunity in New York City, New York for a dedicated Picker/Packer! We are looking for individuals to accurately pick and pack orders for shipment. This role is fundamental to ensuring our customers receive their products on time and in perfect condition. You will be responsible for locating items in the warehouse, verifying quantities, and preparing them for dispatch. Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy are key to success in this fast-paced logistics environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order lists.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Operate scanning equipment to track inventory and order status.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE, to prevent accidents.
- Understand and apply proper lifting techniques to avoid injuries.
- Contribute to the smooth flow of logistics operations within the distribution center.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or warehouse environments is advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Proficiency with scanning technology.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Good organizational skills.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and perform lifting tasks (up to 30 lbs regularly).
- Must wear designated PPE as required.
- Familiarity with basic logistics and warehouse safety procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
