Our rapidly growing company in Provo, Utah, is seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team. This crucial role ensures the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming goods, maintaining the integrity of our inventory and supporting our logistics operations. You will be responsible for unloading shipments, verifying contents against documentation, inspecting for damage, and accurately entering data into our system. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE , is mandatory. This position involves physical tasks, including some lifting . We offer a competitive hourly wage and a supportive team environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming freight from various carriers.
- Accurately compare received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies and report findings.
- Enter received items into the inventory management system with precision.
- Stage received goods for put-away or other warehouse processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines.
- Utilize required PPE at all times.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, drivers, and internal staff.
- Support the broader logistics and warehouse functions as needed.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role or inventory control is a plus.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 45 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and willingness to wear required PPE .
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and logistics .
