We are seeking an experienced and organized Warehouse Coordinator to oversee operations at our facility in Washington, D.C. This critical role requires a leader who can manage inventory, coordinate shipping and receiving activities, and ensure the efficient and safe functioning of the warehouse. You will be responsible for supervising warehouse staff, optimizing workflow, and maintaining high standards of operational excellence within our logistics network. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of warehouse management systems and best practices. A primary focus will be on maintaining a safe working environment, enforcing PPE usage, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to procedures.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse workflows and layouts.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, including proper PPE usage.
- Coordinate with carriers and suppliers to manage inbound and outbound shipments.
- Maintain warehouse equipment and ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost reduction.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Manage all aspects of the logistics process within the facility.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or coordination.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff and improve operational efficiency.
- Knowledge of safety best practices and PPE requirements in a warehouse setting.
- Experience with various logistics and transportation methods.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate lifting , as needed.
