We are seeking an efficient Order Picker to join our warehouse operations in Madison, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your precision and speed are critical to ensuring timely order fulfillment and maintaining customer satisfaction. This position is a key part of our logistics chain, directly impacting the efficiency of our distribution center. You will work in a busy environment, using scanning equipment to locate and retrieve products. A strong commitment to safety , including the proper use of PPE , is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations based on order sheets or electronic devices.
- Use handheld scanners to track picked items and update inventory levels.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Ensure picked items match order specifications precisely.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring aisles are clear.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including the correct use of PPE .
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse work is beneficial.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Capability of lifting up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE .
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics procedures.
