Seeking a reliable Shipping Clerk to join our team in Austin, Texas! This role is essential for the successful outbound flow of our products. You will be responsible for preparing shipments, verifying order details, processing shipping documentation, and coordinating with carriers. Your attention to detail ensures that all outgoing packages are correctly addressed, documented, and ready for timely dispatch, playing a key part in our logistics operations. We are committed to a safe working environment and provide all necessary training and personal protective equipment (PPE). This position involves standing, walking, and occasional Lifting of packages. Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation for all outgoing orders.
- Verify order contents against shipping manifests for accuracy.
- Package items securely and appropriately for transit.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, USPS, LTL) for pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update tracking information.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for quality and damage.
- Operate shipping software and equipment.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Assist with receiving and put-away tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform light to moderate Lifting and manual tasks.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
