Our Madison, Wisconsin facility is seeking an efficient and accurate Order Picker to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. You will utilize RF scanning technology or pick lists to locate and gather products, ensuring that the correct items and quantities are selected. Your attention to detail is critical to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction. The Order Picker will also stage picked items for packing and assist in maintaining an organized and safe work environment. Adherence to all safety guidelines and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This position requires you to be on your feet for extended periods and involves moderate lifting and manual dexterity. You will collaborate with packing and shipping teams to ensure timely and accurate order processing. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse stock using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Verify product identification and quantity against order details.
- Stage picked items in designated areas for the packing process.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and adherence to safety standards.
- Wear and utilize appropriate PPE as required by company policy.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Follow all company procedures and logistics guidelines.
- Meet established picking performance metrics.
- Support team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning devices.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
