As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items to fulfill customer orders using scanning technology and efficiently packing them for shipment. You will ensure that orders are prepared correctly and on time, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. Safety is a top priority in our urban logistics hub; therefore, strict adherence to all safety regulations and the mandatory use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) are expected. This role involves constant movement, standing, and requires the ability to lift and manage packages of varying weights. You will work closely with other team members to maintain a smooth workflow and meet daily targets. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify product details and quantities before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Ensure all orders are correctly labeled for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and packing area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and utilize required PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- Support overall logistics efficiency in the fulfillment center.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or warehouse operations is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with scanning technology and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to perform lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Understanding of safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
- Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
