Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order requirements using scanners or pick lists.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Pack picked items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficient workflow and safety.
- Participate in inventory counts and help maintain stock accuracy.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Understand the importance of timely and accurate picking and packing for overall logistics success.
- Perform quality checks on all picked and packed items.
- Be prepared for frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity targets and operational goals.
- This role involves continuous standing, walking, bending, and occasional reaching.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Prior experience in a warehouse picking and packing role is a plus. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks. Ability to read and understand pick lists and product codes. Comfortable working with scanning technology. Must be able to work at a steady pace in a fast-moving environment. Physical capability to perform tasks, including frequent lifting and standing for extended periods. Understanding of warehouse safety standards and correct PPE usage is essential. Good communication and teamwork skills are required.
