Join our dynamic team in Seattle, Washington, as an Order Picker! This role is essential for fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently, directly impacting customer satisfaction and our overall logistics success. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves according to order slips or scanning devices. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using provided lists, scanners, or other technology.
- Locate items on warehouse shelves and ensure correct product and quantity are selected.
- Pack picked items securely and prepare them for shipment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment to retrieve items from various warehouse locations.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency in order fulfillment.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Assist with inventory counts and help maintain accurate stock levels.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Understand the importance of timely order picking for overall logistics flow.
- Perform quality checks on picked items before they are packed and shipped.
- Be prepared for frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily picking quotas and operational goals.
- This role involves standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse environment is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to read and interpret order slips accurately. Comfortable working with technology such as handheld scanners. Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Physical ability to perform the duties, including frequent lifting and standing for extended periods. Understanding of warehouse safety practices and proper PPE usage is essential. Good communication and teamwork skills are required.
