Our Richmond, Virginia distribution center is looking for dedicated Order Pickers to join our growing team. This role is essential for ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment, directly impacting our customer service levels and the efficiency of our logistics network. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for retrieving products from warehouse shelves using advanced scanning technology and preparing them for the next stage of the fulfillment process. We emphasize a culture of Safety, and all team members are trained on proper procedures and the mandatory use of PPE. If you are a reliable individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to accuracy, we encourage you to apply. Experience in a warehouse setting is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Locate and retrieve products from designated warehouse locations using RF scanners.
- Verify product accuracy and quantity against order tickets.
- Place picked items into appropriate totes or onto carts for transport.
- Maintain high levels of productivity and accuracy.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to inventory immediately.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely.
- Participate in inventory counts and checks as directed.
- Follow all company policies, including adherence to all Safety regulations.
- Wear all assigned PPE throughout the shift.
Requirements:
- Ability to read and understand order picking instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and move items weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is desirable.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse operations.
- Dedication to workplace Safety and following procedures.
- Willingness to use all required PPE.
- Team player with good communication skills.
