Job Summary:
Our Milwaukee, Wisconsin facility is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to oversee the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse stock. This role is pivotal in maintaining optimal inventory levels, minimizing discrepancies, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our logistics operations. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating variances, and implementing corrective actions. A keen eye for detail, analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of inventory management principles are essential. We are committed to maintaining a safe work environment, and adherence to Safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, is mandatory. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure accurate data entry in the inventory management system.
  • Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) as applicable.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize inventory flow.
  • Identify and report slow-moving or obsolete stock.
  • Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area.
  • Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to Safety guidelines.
  • Willingness to wear appropriate PPE.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
