Are you an organized and efficient individual looking for an exciting opportunity in the logistics industry? Our Washington, D.C. facility is hiring Picker/Packers to join our dedicated warehouse team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You'll be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves, carefully packaging them for shipment, and preparing them for distribution. This position demands attention to detail, a commitment to speed, and a strong focus on Safety.
Responsibilities:
- Receive daily order assignments and accurately pick items from designated locations using pick lists or scanning equipment.
- Verify picked items against order specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Package picked items securely and appropriately for shipment, using designated packing materials.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for courier pickup.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workstation and contribute to overall warehouse organization.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety guidelines and protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks, as needed.
- Assist with inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Support team members to meet and exceed daily picking and packing targets.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative warehouse environment.
- Handle returns and restock items as directed.
Qualifications:
Experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous. Ability to perform repetitive Lifting tasks, up to 40 pounds. Must be comfortable standing and walking for the majority of the shift. Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail are essential. Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures. Must be compliant with all PPE requirements. This role requires a high level of accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced Logistics setting. Must be reliable and possess a strong work ethic.
