We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming shipments. Your duties will include unloading trucks, verifying the contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and documenting all received goods. A strong emphasis on accuracy, organization, and safety is paramount. You will be a key point of contact for inbound logistics, ensuring that materials are correctly entered into our system and prepared for storage. Adherence to safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of appropriate PPE, is essential for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming freight from carriers.
- Verify received items against purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips for accuracy.
- Inspect all incoming merchandise for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report findings.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
