We are looking for skilled Forklift Operators to join our busy warehouse facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The ideal candidate will have a strong safety record, experience with various types of forklifts, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods within the warehouse, contributing to the overall smooth operation of our supply chain. You will be expected to perform routine checks on your equipment to ensure it is in safe working order.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a forklift to load and unload materials and products.
- Move, stack, and stage inventory accurately and efficiently.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and warehouse organization.
- Follow specific instructions for handling and storing goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support other warehouse operations as needed, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
- Practice safe lifting techniques and operate machinery responsibly.
- Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders by moving materials to designated areas.
- Identify damaged goods and report them immediately.
- Operate other warehouse equipment as trained and needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or proven experience.
- 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Ability to perform basic math and read English.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and follow directions.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Demonstrate responsibility in handling equipment and materials.
