Join our bustling warehouse in Cincinnati, Ohio, as a Shipping & Receiving Associate! This critical role ensures the smooth flow of goods in and out of our facility. You will be instrumental in managing incoming shipments, preparing outgoing orders, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage and accuracy against purchase orders.
- Verify and document all incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to specifications.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of cargo.
- Maintain organized and clean receiving and shipping docks.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Update the Warehouse Management System (WMS) with accurate receiving and shipping data.
- Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments regarding shipments.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Experience operating material handling equipment (forklift certification is a plus).
- Basic understanding of inventory control principles and Logistics .
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 75 lbs, on a frequent basis, demonstrating strong Lifting capabilities.
- Familiarity with shipping software and WMS.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Must wear appropriate PPE , including steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and high-visibility vests.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to procedures.
