We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Des Moines, Iowa. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, manage staff, ensure efficient workflow, and maintain high standards of productivity, Safety, and accuracy. This is a leadership role that requires excellent organizational skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of logistics and warehouse management. Your leadership will drive operational success.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance and support.
- Oversee all daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure stock accuracy.
- Train and onboard new employees, providing ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
- Conduct regular Safety inspections and enforce Safety best practices.
- Manage the scheduling of staff and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
- Resolve operational issues and customer concerns in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain records of warehouse activities and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of Safety protocols and experience enforcing them.
- Ability to handle tasks requiring manual dexterity and physical capability, including moderate Lifting.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Commitment to fostering a safe and productive work environment.
