Are you a detail-oriented individual with a knack for organization? Our Detroit, Michigan facility is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to oversee and manage our inventory systems. This crucial role ensures the accuracy of our stock levels, supports efficient logistics, and minimizes discrepancies. You will be responsible for performing regular cycle counts, investigating variances, managing inventory data, and implementing procedures to improve inventory accuracy. This position requires a sharp mind, strong analytical skills, and a dedication to maintaining the integrity of our warehouse operations. You will work closely with the warehouse team to resolve inventory issues and contribute to an optimized supply chain. Upholding safety standards, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. While this role is more analytical, it still involves some physical activity and requires the ability to perform lifting as needed to access inventory. We are looking for a proactive individual who can identify potential problems and implement effective solutions. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with operations and shipping teams on inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Assist with the organization and management of warehouse stock.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or similar role.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to perform lifting and material handling as required.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain best practices.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
