Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity in Omaha, Nebraska? We are hiring! This position is integral to our warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack materials. A strong commitment to safety, precision, and operational excellence is paramount. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move pallets and materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper securing of loads.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas, such as storage, production, or shipping platforms.
- Conduct daily pre-operation checks of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA guidelines.
- Use appropriate PPE at all times while operating equipment and in designated areas.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including organizing, sweeping, and light lifting.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Participate in training sessions to maintain and improve skills.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Proficiency in operating multiple types of forklifts.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and sometimes physically demanding environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
