Join our growing logistics network as a Material Handler in Nashville, Tennessee. This position is essential for the efficient operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for a range of duties, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and preparing goods for shipment. Your work directly impacts our ability to meet customer demands and maintain inventory integrity. We prioritize a safe and secure work environment, ensuring all staff are trained on safety protocols and utilize necessary PPE. This role involves consistent physical activity and requires the ability to handle lifting tasks. A positive attitude and a willingness to learn are highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Process incoming shipments, verify contents, and stock inventory appropriately.
- Accurately pick items for outgoing orders and pack them for safe transit.
- Prepare shipments, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
- Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and work areas.
- Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts.
- Report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Comply with all company safety regulations and requirements, including the diligent use of PPE.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Support the logistics team with various tasks to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of safe material handling techniques and adherence to safety standards.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring lifting up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
- Capability to wear and use required PPE effectively.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Team player with good communication skills.
