Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Warehouse Coordinator to oversee and manage daily warehouse operations in Durham, North Carolina. This pivotal role involves coordinating the flow of goods, managing inventory, ensuring efficient storage, and supervising warehouse staff to achieve optimal productivity and safety. The Warehouse Coordinator will play a key role in the logistics chain, ensuring that all inbound and outbound shipments are processed accurately and on time. You will be responsible for implementing best practices, optimizing workflows, and maintaining a high standard of operational excellence. Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of warehouse management systems are essential for this position.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and direct daily warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance.
  • Manage inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, working closely with transportation and vendors.
  • Ensure all warehouse operations are conducted safely and efficiently, adhering to all regulations.
  • Implement and maintain effective warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Train, mentor, and manage warehouse staff, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
  • Monitor and control operational costs, striving for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, including proper use of PPE and hazard communication.
  • Generate reports on warehouse performance, inventory, and logistics activities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Coordinator, Supervisor, or Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of logistics operations and supply chain best practices.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, including PPE requirements and safe lifting techniques.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
