We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to manage and oversee our busy warehouse operations in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In this vital role, you will lead a team of dedicated warehouse associates, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to safety standards, and the smooth movement of goods. Your leadership will directly impact our logistics operations and customer satisfaction. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse management, team motivation, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive environment. You will be instrumental in optimizing processes and driving performance.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and motivate a team of warehouse staff, including order pickers, forklift operators, and material handlers.
- Plan and assign daily tasks to ensure efficient workflow and order fulfillment.
- Monitor inventory levels and accuracy, implementing stock control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Oversee the safe operation of all warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and provide ongoing safety training to staff.
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics operations, coordinating with carriers and other departments.
- Address and resolve any operational issues or conflicts that arise.
- Implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage performance, conduct reviews, and foster a positive team environment.
- Support and guide team members in tasks involving significant lifting and manual handling.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role is essential. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics. Knowledge of safety best practices and regulatory compliance. Ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Strong problem-solving abilities. Experience with WMS software is highly desirable. Must be able to effectively communicate instructions and feedback. Physical ability to perform some manual tasks, including assisting with heavy lifting when necessary, is a plus. A commitment to safety is paramount.
