We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our advanced logistics facility in Huntsville, Alabama. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to manage the movement of materials throughout our warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. This position is central to maintaining the smooth flow of our supply chain and requires a strong emphasis on safety and precision. All team members are expected to wear appropriate PPE and follow strict safety protocols. This role involves significant physical exertion, including frequent lifting of up to 55 pounds, and requires the ability to operate various types of forklifts with expertise. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, a minimum of two years of experience, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations. You will work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to ensure operational efficiency and inventory accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, lift, and place materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Stack and arrange inventory in designated racks and storage locations.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock checks.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Coordinate with other warehouse personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Proficiency with various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach).
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 55 lbs, and operate equipment for extended periods.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
