Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our San Francisco, California warehouse. This critical role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our inventory management systems. You will be responsible for conducting detailed audits, analyzing stock levels, implementing process improvements, and minimizing inventory variances. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of inventory control methodologies, and a proactive approach to optimizing warehouse logistics. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining optimal stock levels, reducing carrying costs, and ensuring the seamless flow of goods throughout our supply chain. Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and refine inventory control procedures and policies.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and optimize stock levels.
  • Manage inventory accuracy within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and sales teams to ensure inventory alignment.
  • Implement strategies to reduce shrinkage, obsolescence, and excess inventory.
  • Monitor and report on key inventory metrics, such as turns, accuracy, and fill rates.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Train and guide other team members on inventory control best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of warehouse logistics and supply chain efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
  • Extensive knowledge of inventory control principles, WMS, and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical inventory tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and broader logistics challenges.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and commitment to a safe work environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
