We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Inventory Control Specialist for our Raleigh, North Carolina location. This critical role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing discrepancies. Your duties will include conducting thorough cycle counts, investigating variances, reconciling inventory records, and implementing improvements to inventory control processes. This position is key to the efficiency of our overall logistics operations. You must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, including the diligent use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and adhere to all established warehouse protocols. This role requires analytical skills, proficiency with inventory management software, and the ability to work meticulously. Occasional lifting may be required. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Reconcile inventory records with system data and physical counts.
- Develop and refine inventory control procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory movements, adjustments, and locations.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to resolve inventory issues.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist in training team members on inventory control best practices.
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the logistics supply chain.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (WMS, ERP systems).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
