RYNO PRINT & DESIGN LTD is a full-service print & design shop located in Northeast Calgary, AB. They offer high-quality design, printing and sign services, including scanning, black/white & digital color printing, photocopying, blueprint drawings printing, large format printing, business stationery printing, custom marketing materiel, bindery solutions, and graphic design services.
Role Responsibilities:
We are looking for a detail oriented and reliable Graphic Design that will do Pre and Post Production to join our growing print shop. This hands on role supports the production team by preparing files for print, ensuring all files are press ready, and maintaining efficient file management and work order scheduling. The role includes operating equipment, finishing printed materials, and assisting with packaging and deliveries while adhering to production schedules and deadlines.
You will coordinate projects to ensure all work proceeds efficiently and meets client and company quality standards. Duties include developing layouts and designs for client needs, proofreading, researching, writing, and copy editing as required, and checking documents for accuracy. You will maintain excellent client relations and deliver a high standard of work with minimal waste in a fast paced, quality driven environment.
Customer Service Responsibilities:
Assist customers in person, by phone, and by email with order inquiries
Gather job requirements and enter orders accurately
Provide basic product guidance, timelines, and updates
Coordinate with production team to ensure customer needs are met
Handle pickup coordination and order handoff
Prepare basic quotes using price guidelines, Process payments and issue receipts, Explain turnaround times and rush options
Pre-Production Tasks:
Prepare customer files for print (formatting, resizing, bleed setup, etc.)
Perform quality checks on digital files for print readiness
Set up jobs in RIP software for printers (e.g., Xerox, Roland, HP printers)
Review customer supplied files and flag issues, Suggest fix or request corrected files when needed.
Maintain print queue and production schedule accuracy
Communicate with team on job specs and special requirements
Production Task:
Operate and assist with wide-format and digital printers (training provided)
Monitor print output for accuracy and quality
Load/unload media and replace ink/toner when needed
Post-Production Tasks:
Trim, bind, laminate, mount, or otherwise finish printed materials.
Operate machines like graphic wizard, paper cutter and trimmer and laminators.
Sign Mounting and Installation.
Package orders accurately and attractively
Assist with shipping prep as needed
Keep workstations clean and organized
Perform regular cleaning and maintenance on machines.
General Expectations:
Follow safety protocols and handle equipment with care
Manage time efficiently to meet tight deadlines
Maintain a high standard of print quality and professionalism
Support team with miscellaneous shop tasks as needed
Report machine issues immediately and inventory levels to manager
Qualifications:
Prior print shop and sign shop experience is required
Skilled with Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign is required
Highly organized, self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Part-Time Hourly bases, Later converted to Full Time
