Responsibilities We are seeking motivated Master's students for the National Security Internship Program (NSIP). Join our AIDA Division where you can engage in meaningful work that addresses national challenges in security, energy, and environment. Interns will have the chance to: Apply advanced computational, statistical, and mathematical techniques to complex problems. Develop innovative coding solutions. Participate in cyber competitions. Design compelling data visualizations. Work with big data and optimize solutions across various domains. Internships are set to begin in May or June 2026, forming a collaborative cohort experience. Diverse Focus Areas:
As an intern, you can specialize in one of six technical groups: Math, Stats, and Data Science:
Engage in mathematical modeling and computational statistics to solve real-world challenges. Applied AI Systems:
Create robust models to turn complex data into actionable insights in operational settings. Foundational Data Science:
Develop new algorithms and tools for understanding and leveraging large datasets. Software Engineering & Architectures:
Build scalable cloud-based solutions for extensive data analysis and operational support. Human Centered Computing:
Create innovative visualizations and interactions that enable deeper data insights. Operational Readiness & Enablement:
Ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions using best software development practices. Positions are based in Richland or Seattle, WA. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must be enrolled in a Master’s program at an accredited institution. Minimum GPA of 3.3 is required.
