The Team: As an Undergraduate Applications Developer Intern, you will be integrated into the Optimization Project Management Office (OPMO), a team of skilled developers and project managers dedicated to enhancing Oracle Consumer Industries such as Hospitality, Retail, and Restaurants. In this role, you will help push the boundaries of efficiency and value through innovative solutions. Responsibilities Your Opportunities Include: Gain foundational knowledge in Oracle APEX and progressively implement advanced AI and machine learning features into applications. Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scopes, and learn AI project management principles. Engage in the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of APEX applications for various commercial needs. Participate in the complete project lifecycle, enhancing your coding, collaboration, and critical thinking skills. Create clear documentation and take part in learning activities to reinforce understanding of customer success and innovation. What You’ll Bring: Reside in the United States or attend a university in the US. Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science (or a related field), with plans to return post-internship. Proficient in SQL, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, able to complete coding tasks independently. Demonstrable experience in areas like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Structures, Algorithms, Software Programming, and Web/Mobile Development through projects or internships. A proven ability to solve complex technical problems and innovate solutions. Basic understanding of cloud platforms and an eagerness to deepen knowledge in AI fundamentals. A proactive self-starter capable of independent and team-oriented work. Exceptional professionalism, work ethic, and strong verbal/written communication skills. A capacity to quickly learn and adapt to new challenges and deadlines. Excellent project management and customer engagement skills. A history of at least one internship, research assistantship, or similar experience in relevant technical areas. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 3.0 GPA.
