Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in application development (Internships do not count).
At least 1 year of experience with big data technologies.
Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in application development including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
2+ years of experience working with a public cloud platform (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
3+ years of experience with distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL).
2+ years of experience in developing real-time data and streaming applications.
2+ years of experience with NoSQL implementations (Mongo, Cassandra).
2+ years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake).
3+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux, including basic commands and shell scripting.
2+ years of experience utilizing Agile engineering practices.

The roles in McLean, VA, involve an annual salary range of $161,800 - $184,600 for a Lead Data Engineer, with similar positions in Plano, TX, Richmond, VA, and Wilmington, DE, offering salaries ranging from $147,100 - $167,900. The actual salary will depend on location and will be articulated in your offer letter. This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including bonuses and/or long-term incentives.
