The Lead Application Solutions Architect at Humana plays an essential role in shaping and implementing IT architecture solutions that address intricate business challenges, ensuring alignment with Humana's enterprise technology standards. This role emphasizes delivering innovative application modernization, secure automation, and promoting reusable architectures. You will work collaboratively with various enterprise teams to improve security measures, promote operational excellence, and develop cost-effective solutions that benefit the entire organization. In this position, you will concentrate on the design and delivery of solutions tailored to meet Humana's corporate Legal technology requirements, partnering closely with the Lead Application Architect to create modern, secure, and scalable applications while supporting engineering teams throughout implementation. Key Responsibilities: Design robust application architectures that include UI, API, data management, integrations, and security considerations. Create comprehensive architecture diagrams, design documentation, and reusable patterns for cloud solutions, SaaS, AI implementation, and legacy modernization. Provide technical guidance to development teams, including conducting design and code reviews. Ensure that all solutions comply with enterprise standards regarding security, scalability, and resiliency. Support projects throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and collaborate with DevOps, Security, Cloud, and Data teams. Engage in Proof of Concepts (POCs) and evaluate emerging technologies. Assist in addressing issues alongside production support teams. Why Join Us? Required Qualifications: Minimum of 6 years in application development, with at least 2 years focused on architecture or technical design. Proficient in modern technology stacks such as React/Angular, .NET/Java/Python/Node. Familiar with Azure cloud services, containerization, APIs, and CI/CD methodologies. Working knowledge of Identity Access Management (IAM) via Azure AD and managing secrets with HashiCorp Vault. Exceptional communication and documentation skills. Preferred Skills: Experience with AI/ML-enabled applications, RAG, or automation platforms. Expertise in cloud migrations, legacy modernization, and event-driven architectures. Familiarity with enterprise domains such as Compliance, HR, Finance, Legal, or Risk. Additional Information: Work-At-Home Requirements: Must provide high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home workspace; associates or contractors located in California will have their internet expenses covered. A minimum standard speed of 25x10 (25mbps download x 10mbps upload) is required. Satellite and wireless internet services are not permitted for this role. A dedicated workspace free from interruptions to protect member PHI and comply with HIPAA regulations is necessary. This position is remote but may require occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Pay Range: The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. This range may vary based on geographic location and individual qualifications such as skills, knowledge, experience, and education. $106,900 - $147,000 per year This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
