Border Patrol Agent

This position is part of the Federal Law Enforcement Officer profession, with a mission to protect American citizens by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing national economic prosperity.

• Detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws; inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.


• Preventing and apprehending aliens and smugglers at or near the borders through surveillance from covert positions.


• Interpreting physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
