About the Job:The primary responsibility of a Border Patrol Agent is to protect national security by preventing and detecting smuggling, human trafficking, and other illicit activities at or near the border.
- detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws,
- preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens,
- interpreting tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry,
Typical assignments include patrolling assigned areas along roadsides
