• Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
• Prevent undocumented non-citizens and smugglers at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance using infrared scopes during night operations.
• Interpret physical evidence of illegal entry, such as tracks, marks, or other signs indicating unauthorized crossing points.

• Farm checks: Inspect agricultural areas for signs of smuggling or human trafficking.
