Border Patrol Agents play a vital role in safeguarding America's borders. They are part of the 60,000+ workforce that strives to protect the American people by preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers of noncitizens at or near the borders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws
- Inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations
- Maintaining surveillance from covert positions to include using infrared scopes during night operations
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• A bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement OR one full year of graduate-level education in a field related to law enforcement; AND One (1) year of general work experience demonstrating leadership skills; OR A combination of experience & education.
•The ability to take charge, make sound decisions, maintain composure in stressful situations, , learn regulations methods techniques through classroom training on-the-job instruction ,& Gather concise information through observation examination documents records
