Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for creating innovative and high-quality dishes. This role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, managing food preparation, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hospitality are maintained. Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel, ensuring smooth workflow
  • Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene compliance
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
  • Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation to meet customer expectations
  • Train new staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and service standards
  • Collaborate with restaurant management to develop menus that align with customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
  • Ensure adherence to all health regulations and safety guidelines within the kitchen environment
  • Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen space

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Supervising experience with team management capabilities
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
  • Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
  • Familiarity with restaurant management operations including inventory control and menu development
  • Exceptional skills in food industry practices, kitchen experience, and serving techniques
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with staff and management effectively

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
