Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Office Manager to oversee the financial operations of our property portfolio and office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of financial management and team coordination with the Director, Property Operations and CEO. This position requires a solid understanding of accounting practices to support our financial objectives. This position is a 3/4 time position which may eventually lead to full-time. The hours per day may be adjusted to fit the candidate's other obligations.

Duties

  • Oversee all funds movement, including posting of revenues and expenses, bank reconciliation, payroll processing and account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Utilize QuickBooks Desktop accounting software.
  • Prepare financial reports on each property for the executive team and the company's equity partners, from time to time, as requested.
  • Coordinate with the Director, Property Operations to ensure timely payment of invoices.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for both physical and digital documents to ensure easy access to information.
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and reports as required.

Skills

  • Excellent proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software is essential for managing financial tasks effectively.
  • Strong skills in bank reconciliation, payroll processing, account reconciliation, and accounts receivable management.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities efficiently.
  • Strong analytical skills for account analysis and financial reporting.
  • Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with team members, equity partners and vendors.
  • Attention to detail is crucial for maintaining accuracy in financial records and administrative tasks.
  • Previous experience as a bookkeeper and an office manager or in a similar role is required.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
